About UAFCS
The Utah Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (UAFCS) ia a state affiliate of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS). AAFCS was founded in 1909. UAFCS is a non-profit professional organization whose purpose is to improve the quality of individual and family life.
The AAFCS is the only national organization representing family and consumer sciences professionals across practice areas and content specializations.

Extension Cooperative Extension educators and administrators of family and consumer sciences related to family issues employed at the county, state, and federal levels. Business Family and consumer sciences professionals who work in the business sector to identify trends and integrate consumer needs into the design and marketing of consumer goods and services.
